Wrap up of my 30day sunrise challenge!

Most people on the Sunshine Coast are still in bed at 4:30am during winter, sound asleep. Not me, at 4am I up and getting ready for another gorgeous morning photographing the sunrise, with three maybe four jumpers on!. This year I embarked on another thirty day sunrise challenge, photographing the start of every new day at a different spot. It has been an amazing journey I have encountered stray dogs, broken tripod, slippery rocks and met some great people along the way! I had a few friends come out with me some mornings and the one thing they both said to me  was that they didnt realise how amazing it was at the time of morning. I would be heading out most mornings around 4:45am with my beanie, jumpers, headtorch and camera bag in tow. It was a fantastic way to not only experience the Sunshine Coast area but experience the true beauty of every new day. Mum thought I was mad going out so early in such cold weather but when you have a passion nothing stops you. The first four mornings I was out in the rain making makeshift shelters with my jumpers. Photography has always been a passion of mine and hope to continue the challenge every year. A few mornings I forgot my shoes and would be walking through sand, mud and slippery rocks which wasnt the best idea but all apart of the experience. Its amazing how many people are up enjoying the day at that hour, some people walking, fishing, and some still up from the night before!. It will be sad to see the end of the challenge but I think my tired body will enjoy the sleep in and my flatmates wont have to listen to me cooking sausages at 4am!, The thing that this taught me most is if you have a passion in life work hard and dedicate your time to it and the results will speak for themselves. Get out there and get your dream, even if your on a beach at 5am in barefeet in the rain awaiting the colours on a new day!

30 day sunrise challenge

30-DAY SUNRISE CHALLENGE 2012

This year through winter I decided to do another 30-day sunrise challenge in which I would get up at 4am every morning for thirty days straight and go to a different spot on the sunshine coast and photograph the sunrise, I did the same last year and got some amazing results with an exhibition happening in October. Whilst I have had some mornings where I was out in the rain sheltering myself the gorgeous mornings I encountered certainly made up for the dreary days. Only have 10days to go, make sure you follow along you will see on the home page up the top it, click on 30 day sunrise challenge to follow my blog!! Happy mornings
